This July marks the 1st year anniversary of owning my own business. Many of you have asked me what prompted me to start Holy Altar. The answer is simple, my mother. Three years ago, I was fired from a job where I had been working for 6 1/2 years. It was, to say the least, devastating. I spent the following year on unemployment wondering what I would do with the rest of my life. It seemed everything I tried always ended up in failure. My mother kept encouraging me to start my own business doing readings for people. I had been doing readings since my early teens for friends and family only. Since my mother is always right and I had nothing to lose, I decided to let the universe decide which path I should follow. Each morning for about a week, I meditated on receiving guidance. During one session I distinctly heard a voice speak to me, call your business Holy Altar. After that, it was like the flood gates opened and out came all the ideas needed to move forward. Looking back on this past year, it amazes me that it took so long to have done this. The work I'm doing is definitely my life's calling. Many times we hear the expression that out of tragedies come blessings, well in my case this is true. I want to personally thank each and every one of you for supporting Holy Altar.
